Western Europe Education Sector - Partner Lead

Workgroup Focus:
Governments and societies worldwide are increasingly recognizing the importance of developing their education systems to enable their economies and citizens to build sustainable economies and be able to compete globally. Within any country typically 15%-30% of the population are part of the education eco system - whether this be students, educators, administrators, education elites (incl. govt policy advisors) or government officials. This community has a huge impact on how technology is adopted and used to prepare the next generation work force and is central to driving social & economic advancement of governments around the world.

There are many internal groups across Microsoft with an interest in education, these are brought together under the leadership of the Subsidiary Microsoft Partners In Learning Education Alliance Leadership Team.
This team, under the leadership of the Education Lead, are responsible for ensuring Microsoft's success in approaching education as "One Microsoft", executing co-ordinated plans, exceeding our customers expectations and delivering against our goals of transforming education, fostering local innovation and creating jobs and opportunities.

The WE Partner Lead is responsible for building and implementing the strategy to build a vibrant partner eco-system to drive scorecard metrics, share and revenue for Microsoft in education. It involves recruiting, developing and managing partners across the depth, breadth, Solution, Publisher, SI and ISV communities. In addition, this role is responsible for supporting each of the 12 subsidiaries in our Western Europe area in developing and executing their Education Partner strategy.

Qualifications: 
  • Proven related experience 
  • Significant experience closing deals and working with solutions partners, ISV's and SI’s 
  • Extensive experience in business development, partner management or account management positions 
  • Strategic focus and analytical skills enabling comprehension of complex technical, business, and legal issues leading to the formation and execution of successful end to end partner strategies 
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a proven track record in relationship building cross-group relationships
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal). 
  • Solid understanding of partner programs and partner ecosystems to ensure leverage, optimization and collaboration with existing resources 
  • A passion for Education
