Role description


This role is for an experienced Active Directory specialist.  You will be responsible for managing our various ‘on-prem’ platforms such as our Active Directory domains, our single sign-on platform ‘Ping Identity’ and supporting our Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) solution.


The position also requires working alongside our Deloitte Global partners to ensure our processes and procedures are in alignment.

The role can be based out of Reading, Gatwick, St. Albans or Cambridge. Occasional travel into London is required.




This role is full-time permanent, normal operating hours are 9:00 to 17:30.

The team works on a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation to be the point of contact for 24/7 on call support. Any time spent assisting out of hours is paid in addition to salary.

Agile and flexible working arrangements will be supported with this role subject to business need.



  • Perform daily health checks of managed services
  • Communicate with end users whether it be resolving an incident or discussing a change etc.
  • Managing technical changes through established Request for Change (RFC) processes
  • Managing incidents in order of priority and to SLA
  • Providing SME knowledge to other support functions
  • Update and maintain documentation
  • Collaborate with Vendors to ensure our services are maintained
  • Stay informed and aware of current and new technologies i.e. attend webinars
  • Ensure related CMDB records are maintained
  • Manage platform lifecycle process - including the installation or decommission of platforms / applications sets within Deloitte standards
  • Keeping your team members informed of current and planned work
  • Regularly monitor and respond to reports
  • Ensure that platforms are maintained and patched to latest versions as and when these are released or workaround mitigations are put in-place.
  • Must be willing to train and share knowledge to team members and others where required



  • MUST: Be a certified MCSE or MCSA in Windows Server 2012 r2.  At a minmum, MCPs in managing Windows Server 2012 r2
  • MUST: Have excellent Active Directory skills and knowledge, ideally having worked in a multi-domain / trust model environment
  • MUST: Be able to articulate in depth how to implement and troubleshoot varying AD activities
  • Knowledge of design, implementation, support and management of Active Directory and integrated services
  • Be comfortable being the point of contact for on premise technologies
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines while under pressure
  • Experience of supporting and managing critical federation services including the implementation of LOB applications single sign-on access
  • PowerShell scripting knowledge
  • ITIL Foundation certified
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
  • Able to work in accordance with deadlines
  • Would be advantageous to have knowledge of MIM
