At the Government Digital Service (GDS), we design services that serve the whole of the UK population. To do this successfully, we need to ensure our teams encompass many different disciplines and perspectives by recruiting a diverse workforce of technologists.

As a technical architect working at the Government Digital Service, you’ll have the ability to influence meaningful change across government and society. Leading on technical programmes, you will make decisions that improve citizens’ everyday lives.

We offer a working environment with extensive learning and development opportunities to help support your career progression. GDS recognises the gender diversity problem in the digital industry and is strongly committed to empowering change. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply for this role. Part time and job share arrangements are available.

The role involves working amongst an excellent community of technologists, while also collaborating in a multidisciplinary project environment. We're not looking for a list of languages and technologies. We're looking for people who care and make a difference, who can understand complicated problems and create straight-forward solutions to solving them.
