Technology Business Management enables IT organisations to optimise spend in order to achieve greater business value and return on investment. Reporting to the Head of IT Cost & Business Management, the role will cover the delivery of Financial Planning and Control, Management Information and continuous improvement of processes and tooling.  The role will also be responsible for the management of 2 staff based in India.

Role description

You will assist in monthly reporting, preparation of the ITS annual budget and quarterly forecasting process; provide analysis and support to key stakeholders; assist in the design and delivery of insightful executive-level reports on IT spend using multiple data sets, and support the  IT Finance cost transparency and transformation processes. You will work in close partnership with Finance and the ITS Operations and Project Managers, and will directly support the Head of IT Cost Transformation
A business critical role, you will need to be able to analyse and interpret financial data from multiple streams and report these to senior stakeholders.

The role can be located either in London, or in a regional office with approximately 3 days per week spent in London.

  • Direct responsibility for completion of month end financial processes & management reporting
  • Performance analysis of the ITS business units including the review of underlying cost drivers
  • Preparation of monthly MI reports for executive management reviews
  • Support cost optimisation & cost control measures
  • Support business case cost/ benefit and ROI performance
  • Preparation of the quarterly forecast and annual business plan
  • Review and management of the balance sheet, project capitalisation and intercompany recharging
  • Continuous improvement and transformation of ITS finance processes and tooling
  • Line management & professional development of 2 resources in India


  • Finance professional (CIMA qualified or qualified by experience)
  • Strong understanding of and experience in IT costs and services
  • Experience of working within a Financial Planning and Analysis function
  • Experience of business partnering preferably with a CIO / IT function
  • Ability to think laterally and creatively to address business critical requirements in challenging timelines
  • Can work within an ambiguous fast-moving environment while also driving toward clarity and solutions
  • Staff management experience preferred
  • Fluent in Microsoft products
  • Knowledge / experience in SAP & Apptio an advantage but not required
