The Home Office is one of the UK’s most complex and data-rich organisations with significant public interestin its success. Operating in an acute and constantly changing political landscape, our mission is to keep Britain’s streets safe and its borders secure. In doing so, the Home Office is fast becoming one of the UK’s most sophisticated users of technology, preserving people’s freedoms and protecting citizens from terrorism through operational excellence, systems resilience, agility and our targeted use of customer insight.

Business transformation and innovation are becoming part of our cultural DNA as we reset our approach to technology and exceptional new people are required to help execute our ambitious plans. Background Formed in 2012 as a law enforcement command within the Home Office, Border Force secures the border and promotes national prosperity by facilitating the legitimate movement of individuals and goods, whilst preventing those that would cause harm from entering the UK. This is achieved through the immigration and customs checks carried out by its staff at ports and airports: Border Force officers work at 138 sea and air ports across the UK and overseas.

The Border Crossing - Digital Services at the Border Programme (DSAB) will develop the next generation of UK border security systems to enable enhanced threat management and detection. It will improve the way passengers and goods are processed at the border, as well as providing policing, counter terrorism and security agencies with better access to information for operational and intelligence purposes. The Delivery Director - Border Crossing (DSAB) will beresponsible for driving the programme’s successful delivery.
