Our Return to Work programme is open to anyone who’s taken a voluntary career break of two year or more. It’s designed to refresh your knowledge and skills, and boost your workplace confidence. Whatever you’ve been up to, we know it will have enriched who you are and what you can offer our clients and business. This is about giving you the time and support you need to readapt and get your career back on track.
 
The programme aims to encourage women back into the workplace, but is open to all. Over the course of the programme, you’ll benefit from group induction sessions, mentoring and project experience, and the chance to work within one of our service lines.
 
At the end of the programme you may have the opportunity to convert to a permanent role at Deloitte.
 
 
The Opportunity
 
This is your opportunity to join our IT Services function as part of the Return to Work programme.
 
Owing to the ongoing growth of the firm, we have roles in the following areas and welcome you to apply if you have relevant experience.
 
Deloitte's IT Services function provides all the core IT used by our client facing staff.  It is an integral part of how we deliver to clients.  For the right candidates, we have opportunities in the following areas:
 
Project Delivery – A team of professional programme and project managers, responsible for the delivery of a wide range of IT enabled business change, and core IT projects.
 
Change Management – Leading on the change management aspects of projects that affect over 20,000 practitioners, designing and delivering communications, training and other interventions to enable practitioners to realise value from new technology.
 
Testing –Undertaking all aspects of testing of new solutions, and regression testing of existing applications, to ensure that the business needs are met and risks are mitigated.
 
Business Applications – A multi-skilled team operating a DevOps model to support the core business applications of the firm, including internally developed applications and those used across the global Deloitte network.
 
 
Location
 
Primarily in London or Milton Keynes, with opportunity to work from an office closer to home or from home when not required in the office. 
 
 
Hours
 
Fixed term contract for 20* weeks on a part time basis (80% or 4 days a week)
Opportunities across service lines to work in an agile way (i.e. from home or in an office closer to home).
 
*NB for some roles this will be extended to 25 weeks due to project duration.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
Dependent on the team joined.  Likely to involve supporting, and in some cases leading, IT enable business change projects, including stakeholder engagement, resolution of technical issues, commercial management of suppliers, and ensuring quality delivery.
 
 
Requirements
 
To be eligible for the programme, you must have:
  • Taken a voluntary career break of two years or more
  • An interest in returning to work permanently
  • Solid experience within professional services or industry working at either a manager/ senior management level
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Be available to start on 18 September 2017 and be able to commit to the duration of the programme.
 
To be considered for one our IT Services positions, you will also need to have prior experience in one or more of the following risk areas:
  • Project Management
  • Cyber Risk & Security
  • Cloud
  • Change Management
  • Testing
  • Contract and supplier management
  • Software robotics
