Role overview: 

Based principally from our offices in Swindon, become part of the Global TIBCO Products and Technology Group. We are responsible for the creation of new software products, the continued innovation, and development of existing products. Our team takes pride in offering on-going support of those products through the full product life-cycle while thriving for constant improvement.

Responsibilities:

The job holder will be expected to perform the following: 

  • Managing the day-to-day development and delivery of features for TIBCO’s Business Process Management (BPM) products.
  • Continuously work with programme management to define, refine and agree the planning and deliverables required for their team.
  • Maintaining the agile development process practices and mentor the team in these practices, as required.
  • Providing technical leadership for features being developed by their team.
  • Limited “hands –on” involvement, that is compatible with fully prioritizing the responsibilities mentioned above.
  • Ensure that each project, on an on-going basis, has an agreed and compatible set of requirements (however necessarily formulated, depending on the agile practices adopted).
  • Effectively manage the risks, issues, changes and dependencies that affect successful delivery when developing software in an agile environment.

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelors, Masters, PhD or HND in subjects such as computer science, software engineering, IT or related subjects or an equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Be self-managing and motivating.
  • Be a team player who works well in a collaborative development environment.
  • Have a good overview and understanding of the current crop of agile techniques and a track record of successfully using some of these. techniques to deliver software systems. Ideally, this will include Scrum and the use of Kanban.
  • Seasoned yet up-to-date software engineering professional with experience of working within a software product development organization in a variety of roles.
  • Grounding in web-based architectures and technologies, Web Services (ideally REST based), SOA preferred.
  • Enterprise strength product and cloud service development.
  • Ideally Java, Javascript and associated technologies.
