Audit Analytics – Application Operations and Database Administrator

Salary Frequency

What impact will you make? The Opportunity

The team you will be joining is responsible for the development and support of an existing in-house data warehouse and self-service analytics platform, which is predominantly used by our UK Audit practice of around 3,000 staff. The platform is of central importance to one of Deloitte’s core businesses and has been, and continues to be, a source of major investment for the firm. The platform already has a number of patents filed; innovation and quality are our watch words.

Role description

To support a strategic programme we are creating a new role for a hybrid Application Operations and Database Administrator in our Cardiff office. This role would likely suit someone who has been working in a smaller business, and thus has broad experience, who is looking to break into bigger businesses like Deloitte.

You will be supporting the availability of the platform and working to help deploy new features, supporting engagements across our client portfolio, both in the UK and globally.  This is not a client facing role, but a key element is a desire to improve the process and the solution by identifying and recommending any opportunities to extend, improve or add new functionality.

You will also have the opportunity to manage our rapidly growing OutSystems development and deployment platform, which if you aren’t familiar with we will provide training and development.

As typical with our business, the team will work in a highly agile and flexible way, supporting a diverse range of client, business and technical requirements

You will be based onsite in the Deloitte Cardiff office. Some travel to London may be required to fulfil this role; once established we would anticipate this will be 1-2 days per month.

This is a permanent role. We do encourage careful consideration of agile ways of working, both formal and informal arrangements that allow for the best outcomes for our people and our clients. If this opportunity is interesting as a permanent role with a degree of flexibility please do discuss with us.

  • Producing SQL based MI on a regular basis
  • Working with our IT operations and support teams, UK and global, to resolve technical issue
  • Managing and deploying upgrades and patches to the OutSystems application server and SQL database components
  • Planning out and deploying the environment strategy for the OutSystems platform.
  • Applying licensing updates within the OutSystems environment.
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Experience with the majority of the following is required:
