The MI/Data Analyst/Developer in this role will work within Quality & RiskOperations in Cardiff. This Centre of Excellence is a division of the firm’sQuality & Risk management function responsible for a variety of quality,risk, regulatory and compliance support activities. Concentrating the effortsin a Centre of Excellence helps to ensure a high standard of compliance withthe underlying regulations while enabling client facing teams to devote more oftheir time to providing services to their clients. A vacancy has arisen for a dynamic andflexible individual with extensive experience,technical ability and highly developed ICT skills to help meet the increasinglyhigh demands placed on this busy, exciting and innovative team.
The role is expected to grow andevolve rapidly both as the Quality & Risk Operations department expands,and in response to regular changes experienced in our operating environment.Additionally, individuals who demonstrate sufficient capacity and commitment intheir primary roles might be given the opportunity to contribute to otherprojects, thus aiding their personal development.
A successful applicant will be a self-starter and quick learner with an exceptionally high level of ICT user competence. Ideally they will have experience in a supporting role in a large organisation and be able to demonstrate the mix of skills and attributes that would enable them to make a real contribution to a busy team operating as a Centre of Excellence for our firm. They will be required to react to a variety of issues as they arise in order to be a successful part of this unique team. All successful candidates will be subject to certain investment restrictions on joining to meet client independence rules.
To qualify for the role you must have:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Visual Basic for Applications and complex formulae.
An advanced level of ICT user ability, experience and skills, e.g. Microsoft Access databases, SharePoint workflows. Knowledge of other applications such as Tableau and Lotus notes would be useful
Capability to offer solutions and analyse alternatives
Attention to detail and focus on quality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within our team and across our business.
Team working skills and ability to deal with people at all levels
The ability to discuss IT needs with a range of people, from those with limited IT experience to in-house IT consultants
Effective judgement and decision making

Ability to manage and adapt to regular changes
