Business technology 'brings people together'

14/01/2009 Business technology 'brings people together'Women in business can be brought together with colleagues and clients by the use of technology.

That is the view of Vodafone, which has suggested that using a range of technology can allow people to communicate more widely and freely.

Flexible working can also play a big part in the increased freedom of communication, with people staying connected wherever they are and not being confined to offices.

David Cumberbatch, a business psychologist speaking on behalf of Vodafone, said: "It?s valuing that sense of community. The technology is actually enabling broader communities, enabling people to be connected all of the time."

"The use of technology is more about getting people closer together than it is about pulling people further apart."

Last year, Talent Q research found that the 'Baby Boomer' generation is more open to adopting new techniques and ideas in the workplace, compared to 'Generation Y' ? those just entering the world of work.
