Open University Competition
Thursday 9th February 2012
Open University Competition
To celebrate the launch of The Open University’s new website for employers,
www.openuniversity.co.uk/employers
we offered our members the opportunity to win a free OU IT training course!
We're very pleased to announce the winners of the competition as:
Mrs Firoozeh Saiepour, Cheshunt
Managing the software enterprise (M882)
"The reason I would like to attend this course is because I like to learn about different methods of Software project management, and learn about the issues that may arise during software development".
Mrs Sarah Gilbert, Gatenby
Information security management (M886)
"Currently I work in an IT role within the Royal Air Force. My role is to ensure security is adheared to on the classified network I administer on a day to day basis. The course would provide an invaluable background into IT Security. It would be a fantastic opportunity to add a relevant qualification to put on my Personal Development Record backing up and clarifying what I do each day".
Miss Veronique Pollacsek, Manchester
Working in virtual project teams (M891)
"As
a Lean Black Belt in IT working for General Electric I am championing remote collaborative work initiative within GE Capital (processes, technology for bridging remote locations) and I am very keen to expand my expertise leveraging Open University and act as an ambassador of OU in my company GE!"
Mrs Kelly Herbert, Harlow
Microsoft server technologies (TM128)
"I have already passed an MCTS in Windows Vista and want to further my learning to help with my career goals. I want to work as ICT support within a school and by doing a course like this it would be a step in the right direction. I was already looking at doing another Microsoft Certification and this one is ideal. I am currently working towards a Degree in ICT through the OU so I am familiar with what the OU has to offer".
Thanks to everyone who entered - we're sorry you couldn't all win but we wish you the best of luck in your IT careers!
