YOU Are Your Own Best Business Card
However good the logo, website or brochure when you walk in the door it is you who wins or loses the deal, the job or whatever else is at stake. It is no longer enough to be competent and knowledgeable. Today business is based on relationships and you need high personal impact to gain that competitive edge.
Whether you want it or not, like it or not, believe in it or not you have absolutely no choice - you are an image to others. So it is only sensible to ensure that you are using it as a means to your personal and professional achievement, power, recognition, success and influence. This session will throw new light on what you know already and give you some tools to manage perceptions so that others' judgements about you are what you would want them to be.
The session will cover:
- Image – their perception of you, not yours and testing the difference between your image of you and theirs
- Personal Impact (aka credibility, gravitas, attitude, profile) is being noticed, noted, listened to, taken seriously, respected and remembered positively
- Modelling Impact: describe and discuss
- Your Personal Impact Factor is a decision made by others - not you
- The real significance of the First Impression - the judgements made and the impact on all future outcomes
- Managing the First Impression
- - your Impact ABC = the sum of your Appearance, Behaviour and Communication
- - the Impact Ingredients = all that is seen and heard
- For hi-Impact - your Impact Ingredients must be positive, harmonised and integrated seamlessly to send out one clear message about you
- Tips for making a positive first impression - different first encounters e.g. invisible image, (email and phone) meetings, business/social etc.
Feedback from attendees:
"Well worth every penny spent."
