Be the Effective Influencer

Effective influencing is core to personal and professional success. This is a highly practical and interactive programme and will be of interest to women working in IT who would like to be more confident and successful influencers with their managers, teams and other stakeholders.


Workshop objectives include:

  • Improve your understanding of different influencing styles.
  • Become truly effective with influencing language, allowing you to quickly generate trust and understanding.
  • Develop strategies to enable you to tap into other people’s motivators and harness these to give others exactly what they want, thus ensuring your personal effectiveness.


What will be covered?

Influencing DNA

  • Your Influencing DNA: How do you influence others? What are your unique strengths? When do you feel comfortable or uncomfortable?
  • Effective Influencers: How do you rate Effective Influencers? Why are they effective? What makes them stand out?
  • Understanding influencing in business: the main types of influencing and contexts; understanding your circle of influence and techniques on how this can be extended and maintained.


Being the Graceful Challenger

  • Learn how to get your message across: harness the power of language and the impact it has on others; appreciate differing personality types, their motivations and their drivers.
  • Impactful communication: filtering the message; how others perceive and interpret messages.
  • Impactful language: strategies for identifying ways to make distinct and clear messages understood; utilising language to achieve maximum impact.


What you will leave with:

  • A deeper understanding of your own Influencing DNA.
  • Increased personal confidence through the improved ability to understand and influence others.
  • A practical insight of the impact of language in building rapport and generating trust
  • Ability to guide important conversations and achieve win-win.
