Do you find yourself saying yes when you want to say NO?

Research suggests that women are notorious for saying yes in circumstances that eventually cause burn-out or fall-out. Do you often find yourself saying yes to things and then thinking, why did I do that?

In this three hour workshop you will learn the importance of boundary-setting and experience an exercise designed to identify your own boundaries. You will learn the language of saying ‘No’ in your own personal style. You will also learn how to communicate your preferences in a way that leaves you empowered. Two follow up coaching sessions will keep you on track.


Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this workshop session, you will have:
• Developed an understanding of why women feel compelled to say yes and the consequences of doing so
• Learnt the importance of boundary-setting
• Experienced an exercise to design your own boundaries
• Developed the language of saying ‘NO’, in an assertive manner
• Learnt how to communicate preferences
• The confidence to continue once you leave the workshop

Coaching Outcomes:

In two x 1-hour coaching sessions over the telephone you will:
• Be kept on track
• Identify any barriers to success
• Develop new goals and action plans
• Feel supported These two coaching sessions must be taken by the end of January 2009.

This workshop will be facilitated by Jenny Plaister:

Jenny has 25 years experience in business growth and management, sales and marketing in the IT industry. She has substantial emerging-market experience: having lived and worked in Europe, USA, and Asia and is experienced in working in multi-cultural environments. Jenny's background encompasses a good mix of companies: start-ups, market leaders and multi-nationals.
