About this Course
This one-day course supports professional women who are planning to return to a career or change direction after a career break.

If you’re considering returning to your employer, finding a new position or setting up on your own, this course is for you. It is a unique and highly practical course, combining career coaching with “personal brand” development, enabling delegates to work through decisions about career choices and direction, learn how to best position and promote themselves in the marketplace, look good, feel good and confidently embark on their new career direction.

Returning to work after a career break, particularly as a busy parent, can be daunting. Women often experience a huge shift in their physical, psychological and “career” identity, and the practical support offered by this course is highly effective at easing the transition back into a professional environment.

This is a packed course covering a broad range of career topics at a highly competitive price, delivered by experts in this field. On completion of this course, further small group sessions or individual coaching sessions can be offered to explore particular areas or your personal situation in more depth.

Who should attend?
Even if returners have had a great career history, held senior positions and appear in control, many actually feel stuck, isolated and unsure of the next step. Typically, members of Capability Jane’s network have:
  • Held positions of responsibility, either in the corporate world or the public sector
  • Have over 10 years of working experience from a professional business background
  • Have taken a break from their career to raise a family or care for a family member
  • Want to re‐engage with an existing career or re‐evaluate career direction and choices

This course has been jointly developed by Bella Mehta, career coach, business author and flexible‐working consultant and Carol Goodsman, leading image consultant, NLP Master Practitioner and founder of Image Professional.

About Capability Jane
Capability Jane is a growing network of over 4,500 senior executive women who are continuing in or returning to fulfilling careers while balancing work and family. Since its foundation in 2007, Capability Jane has supported 1000’s of mid to senior executive women in their transition back to the workplace and has recruited 100’s of women into influential (often flexible) roles within both the private and public sector. Capability Jane works with large organisations to increase the number of women in senior roles ‐ often but not exclusively through flexible roles ‐ and also works with small fast growing organisations who can offer challenging roles on a flexible basis.
