What are the benefits of being a Member?
The main benefits of being a member are:
Becoming a Freeman/Liveryman of the company
Becoming a Freeman of the City of London
Opportunities to contribute to improving the lives of many people by contributing time and skill to the activities that support, inter alia, education, industry, the arts, healthcare, the disabled and many others
Opportunities to support and assist in the varied charitable activities of the Company
Opportunities to attend Business Luncheons and Dinners arranged by the Company
Opportunities to attend luncheons and dinners with other Livery Companies and with the Lord Mayor at the Mansion House
Regular association with peers and colleagues from a mix of providers, users, entrepreneurs, investors and professionals from across the IT industry and within allied support industries and organisations
In addition there are:
Regular gatherings every first Thursday of the month in the City of London at Bangers Wine Bar – more details on a separate sheet
Clubs for golf, shooting, flying, skiing, yachting and wine
Events organised by both the WCIT and other City Institutions
A regular monthly email newsletter
A newsletter, Monitor
Two religious services where we welcome people of any ethnic or religious background: one for the installation of a new Master and the other a Christmas Carol service
Partners, and in certain cases guests, are always welcome to virtually all the social events of the Company.
We also have at the Information Technologists’ Hall a number of rooms that can be reserved at a modest fee for conferences and meetings that can be especially useful for out-of-town members. We can provide reasonable hospitality facilities.
