Some good reasons for being a WCIT member:
For more than 800 years, City of London Livery companies have promoted the professions which they represent by their commitment to education and training, charitable works and social interaction. As a member you will become part of this proud Livery tradition.
WCIT Members contribute their time, talents and resources to making the benefits of IT more widely available, thereby making a real difference to people’s lives, particularly of the disadvantaged: it is a great vehicle for giving something back.
The WCIT is a dynamic combination of tradition and technology: the enduring values of 800 years of Livery companies and the fast-moving IT profession.
The WCIT shares the Livery company tradition of commitment to education and training, charitable works and social interaction through its panels and committees.
The WCIT contributes to the promotion of the IT profession, including industry, consulting, research and development, education and training.
The WCIT provides a forum for the discussion of important IT issues by the profession and users.
WCIT members contribute their time, talent and resources to making the benefits of IT more widely available. IT is an enabler that creates opportunities.
WCIT has nearly 650 members from across the industry, many of whom have made distinguished contributions to the profession.
WCIT members share the objectives of promoting their profession and awareness of its applications.
The WCIT welcomes new members who have the same commitment and wish to support these activities.
